How can I help?

How can I help?

There are many ways you can get involved.

Facebook

Please like and follow PAGWPS face book page, it has full details of all of our events.  Our page is updated continuously with news and information surrounding all of PAGWPS.  We also use it to share school news, as a parent, it is very handy.

Donations

PAGWPS rely heavily on donations.  Some donation requests may seem obscure, but don't worry we do normally have a plan! Please look out for our donation requests, if you can help, please do.  If you see a Facebook post requesting donations please share on your personal and business pages, this makes a huge difference in the number and variety of donations we receive.

Volunteers

At Grove wood we are very lucky with the number of volunteers we have at each event.  We run the policy the more the merrier, if you can spare and time at one of our events please let us know.  If you can not get to events but are happy to help from home, that works for us too.  Without volunteers we can not run events.  Each and every one of you are important.

Meetings

Everybody is welcome at all of our meetings.  We aim to hold meetings every six weeks, the date, time and location of these are posted on our Facebook Page so please keep an eye out.

Match Funding

Match giving or match funding is a simple way of maximising the fundraising efforts of PAGWPS. It is an informal albeit corporate arrangement between a company and their employee. Not all companies offer match funding but those that do will pledge a sum of money relating to the amount their employee has raised or donated to the charity of their choice. Some organisations will match fund on a £ for £ basis, others will stipulate what they are prepared to give. It is likely that an upper limit will be applied along with certain criteria such as the recipient organisation being a registered charity. Some companies will also pledge time and resources instead of money, so enabling their employees to support a cause during their working week, or offering a tangible service such as the opportunity to print posters, programmes, newsletters and so on.

Do you work for an organisation which offers match funding?  Please let us know.
