How can I help?
There are many ways you can get involved, if you can spare some time however little we always welcome new members. From wrapping up Christmas gifts, to organising an event we would love to have you on board. Alternatively, if you have any ideas for fundraising or are able to donate any goods or services we would also like to hear from you.
To get in touch you can either put a note in the PAGWPS' box in the school's main office, email PAGWPS@grovewood.essex.sch.uk or speak to either Jo Hall, Clare Hammond, Michelle Lindsay or Claire Rodgers.
Match giving or match funding is a simple way of maximising the fundraising efforts of PAGWPS. It is an informal albeit corporate arrangement between a company and their employee. Not all companies offer match funding but those that do will pledge a sum of money relating to the amount their employee has raised or donated to the charity of their choice. Some organisations will match fund on a £ for £ basis, others will stipulate what they are prepared to give. It is likely that an upper limit will be applied along with certain criteria such as the recipient organisation being a registered charity. Some companies will also pledge time and resources instead of money, so enabling their employees to support a cause during their working week, or offering a tangible service such as the opportunity to print posters, programmes, newsletters and so on.
Last year, Barclays Bank plc very kindly agreed to match fund at our Summer Fete, when two members from the Bank came to help set up. They were able to match fund £1,000 each.
